What is NDIS provider portal?

Also known as: myplace provider portal and my NDIS provider portal

The NDIS provider portal is the NDIA’s online system where providers claim payment and see the details of the participants they support. There are two: the myplace provider portal, for participants on older plans, and the my NDIS provider portal, for participants whose plans are in PACE, the NDIA’s newer system. As participants move to PACE, more of the work happens in the my NDIS provider portal.

Which portal you use depends on the participant, not on the provider. A provider supporting some participants on older plans and some in PACE works in both.

What you do in the NDIS provider portal

  • Make payment requests (claims), one at a time or in bulk by uploading a file.
  • See the plan and budget details a participant has shared with you.
  • On older plans, manage service bookings. In PACE there are no service bookings: participants add providers to their “my providers” list and endorse them for types of support, and you claim against what you are endorsed for.
  • Check payment status and remittance details.

Logging in

Each person signs in with their own identity, linked to the provider organisation; logins must never be shared. Sign-in to government provider portals is moving from PRODA to myID and the Relationship Authorisation Manager (RAM), so set up access the way the NDIA currently instructs, and remove a staff member’s link to the organisation when they leave.

Claiming without retyping

Most providers claim in bulk rather than one line at a time. The roster and timesheets already hold what was delivered, so the claim file can be built from them and uploaded, and a rejected line traced back to the shift it came from. Rostery builds the NDIS bulk claim file from approved shifts and checks each line against the participant’s funding before it is sent.

Questions people ask

What is the difference between myplace and the my NDIS provider portal?

The myplace provider portal is for participants on older NDIS plans. The my NDIS provider portal is for participants whose plans are in PACE, the NDIA’s newer system. Which one you use depends on the participant.

Why is my claim rejected in the my NDIS provider portal?

In PACE a common cause is endorsement: if the participant has not endorsed you for that type of support, a claim can fail even though the plan has funding. Check the participant’s my providers list before rebuilding the claim.

How do I log in to the NDIS provider portal?

With your own identity linked to your provider organisation. Sign-in is moving from PRODA to myID and RAM, so follow the NDIA’s current instructions.
