The NDIS app for support workers
The Rostery mobile app gives support workers their day, coordinators the office, and families their visits. Try every screen below, right in your browser.
The whole platform, in their pocket
Support workers, coordinators and families each get an app built for them. Try every screen below, on any phone, in light or dark mode.
Worker home
What a support worker sees when they open the app: the next shift with a big Clock in button, directions, and the rest of today on a timeline.
- Next shift with Clock in and Directions
- Today’s shifts on a start-to-finish timeline
- Open shifts and missed clock-ins flagged
The same data as the Rostery web app, on iPhone and Android, in light or dark mode.
One download, a sign-in for everyone
The same free app on iPhone and Android has a separate sign-in for each group. Each sees only its own information.

Questions about the app
What the app does, who can use it and how support workers get started.
Is the Rostery app free?
Yes. The app is free to download on the App Store and Google Play, with no ads and no in-app purchases. The sign-ins in it come with the provider's Rostery account.
Who can sign in to the Rostery app?
Support workers and managers, support coordinators, participants and families, plan-managed participants checking their budget, and participants and nominees of a support coordinator. Each group has its own sign-in and sees only its own information.
What can support workers do in the app?
See their shifts and directions, clock in and out with GPS, write progress notes (with voice dictation), record medications and incidents, log trips, kilometres and expenses with receipts, check timesheets, request leave, set availability, keep documents and training up to date, pick up open shifts from the job board and message the office.
How do support workers get access?
Their provider adds them as staff in Rostery and gives them their sign-in. They download the app, sign in once and stay signed in between shifts.
Does the app track my location?
The app uses your location to check you in and out of shifts. On Android, if you allow it, it can also record trips in the background for visit verification and kilometres. On iPhone it uses location only while the app is in use.
What happens if a support worker forgets to clock out?
Rostery reminds them after the shift ends and alerts the office if the shift is still open. A provider can also switch on an automatic clock-out, which closes the shift and sends it to the office to check before it is paid.
Can families see shift notes?
Families see upcoming visits and their care team. They see shift notes and documents only if the provider allows it in its family portal settings.
Which phones does the Rostery app work on?
iPhone and iPad with iOS 15.1 or later from the App Store, and Android phones from Google Play.
