Total plan management fees
The end date must be on or after the start date
Days plan management was active in the month, counting the first and last days, divided by the days in that calendar month. The Pricing Schedule says only that a Month is “a full calendar month or a fraction of that month depending on the exact days the service was active”. It does not set the method beyond that.
A bulk claim file takes a quantity of up to two decimal places, so round a part month’s quantity down (for example 0.54) to stay within the limit.
Maximum amount from the NDIS Pricing Schedule 2026-27. Each month rounded down to the cent.
Where these rules come from
The monthly fee and the definition of a Month are in the NDIS Pricing Schedule 2026-27, in force from 24 September 2026 under the NDIS (Pricing Arrangements) Determination 2026. The Schedule sets maximum amounts only.
What the fee covers is described in the NDIS Pricing Arrangements and Price Limits 2025-26 v1.1, which the NDIA’s pricing page still lists as its current claiming guidance. The NDIA has said it will “shortly publish updated pricing and claiming guidance documents”. Neither document says more about part months than the Month definition.
How the plan management fee works
A plan manager claims a monthly fee, support item 14_034_0127_8_3, for the ongoing maintenance of the financial management arrangements. That covers managing the budget, claiming from the NDIA, paying providers, keeping records and sending at least monthly statements. In 2026-27 the maximum is $104.45 a month, the same in every area.
Full months and part months
A Month is charged as a full calendar month, or as a fraction of it for the days the service was active. A plan that starts on the 15th therefore has a part month at each end. This calculator works each part month out as the active days divided by the days in that month. The Schedule does not spell out the method beyond that, so use the same method every time and set it out in your service agreement.
- No set-up fee. The establishment fee ended on 1 July 2025.
- Several months in one claim. The Month unit allows multiple months to be billed in a single claim.
- A maximum, not a set price. You can charge less.
Look up the item in the NDIS Price Guide. Rostery’s plan management module raises the monthly fee for each participant and adds it to the claim file for you.
